The renowned Ponte Vecchio Bridge is a Medieval age stone closed-spandrel segmental arch bridge located over the Arno River, in Firenze, Italy. One of the most popular tourist attraction in Florence especially when you are crossing from south to northern part of the city. Bridge still have shops built along it, as was once common. Mostly jewelry and touristic shops you can find.
Butchers initially occupied the shops of the bridge; additionally there were tenants are jewelers, art dealers and souvenir sellers. The Ponte Vecchio’s two neighbouring bridges are the Ponte Santa Trinita and the Ponte alle Grazie; they all give great views to the photographers.
I took this shot from the Ponte Santa Trinita bridge, right before the sunset.
